GSAL would like to invite pupils in Years 3 to 6 from primary schools across Yorkshire to Mini Beast Safari, a live virtual science show with the BBC One Show scientist, Marty Jopson.
Class teachers can access the event, which will be broadcast live from one of GSAL's biology labs via Zoom from their classrooms. Teachers can also circulate the link to parents and children learning online at home.
Take a journey from everyday life, down into the realm of microscopical wonders with Marty Jopson, the BBC One Show’s resident scientist. The adventure begins with everyday mini-beasts, heads off to freaky pond creatures and ends with a little bit of something human that’s far too small to see. The show has hairy abdomens, tentacled monsters, bacteria and even blood. There will also be a chance to ask any questions about mini-beasts and microscopy. This show is supported by Zeiss, global leaders in the manufacture of microscopes.
The workshop will run for approximately 45 minutes.
